actually, since i had the heat at around medium it took way longer than 8min. probably more like 15 on that side and i upped the heat to medium high the last few because when i check around 8 and 12 min the skin had not yet crisped. once i flipped it was maybe 90sec on the other side at medium high. checked the temp and i was just kissing 185 (where you wanna be with thighs). chicken turned out excellent...just longer than i anticipated.

Yeah around 8 minutes I’d say, they should tell you when they’re ready to flip when the skin releases by itself
